Office of the Assistant Principal
Hello Raider Nation,
I am proud to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal. I am Dr. Quentella Quichocho-Ruiz (Dr. Q). I grew up all over the world as my father was in the Air Force, so I call many places my hometown. My husband and I are excited to plant our roots within the community. I attended St. Mary’s University for both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees as well as Lamar University for my Principal certification. As well as Grand Canyon University where I completed my Ph.D. I have been in education for over 20 years. During this time I held various jobs within the education system from teacher to assistant principal and I wouldn’t want to do anything else. I love what I do!
I love to cook and bake, but not as much now as we are empty nesters. Ask me about my family, my travels, and all the things I can cook. Out of six children, we have one granddaughter and we visit her as often as we can. Our Goldendoodle Chai Latte keeps us busy as well.
One of my favorite quotes is: “Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes” RBG. This is something I try to teach all my students and myself. Your voice counts so it is important to speak so others can hear you.
I am excited to uphold our mission as I support students, teachers, and families to achieve future success as well as personal growth. I look forward to meeting you all as we start the new school year.
The future is ours to grasp,
Dr. Quichocho-Ruiz
